Legal Symposium

Issues arising in the areas of law and regulation often play as large a part in Indian housing programs as funding. NAIHC’s annual Legal Symposium seeks to bring the Indian housing community together for discussion and information sharing on these important issues as we work together to improve housing for Native communities. Legislative Conference

The decisions made by Congress and the Administration in Washington, DC, directly affect you and all of Indian Country. NAIHC’s Annual Legislative Conference offers tribes, TDHEs, and HAs a chance to take part in the process. Attendees can discuss—with each other and with representatives of the federal government—the scope and impact of legislative issues affecting Indian Country. The event brings tribal housing representatives face-to-face with lawmakers, both during the conference and during Congressional visits on Capitol Hill. More information »

NAIHC hosts three meetings a year: the Legislative Conference aimed at advocacy on Capitol Hill; the Annual Convention targeted for all tribal housing professionals and interested parties; and the Legal Symposium focused on the legal and regulatory issues.
