Training and Technical Assistance Program Assistant – Navajo Nation

Shane Begay is the Training and Technical Assistance Program Assistant for the National American Indian Housing Council (NAIHC). Shane is an enrolled member of the Navajo Nation. He has worked for NAIHC since 2010 at various capacities within the organization. He is currently responsible for the coordination of all T&TA program activities. His duties include; reviewing consultant products and reports, processing travel authorization requests; maintaining accurate and up-to-date databases; reconciling expenses such as credit card and travel reports, prepare invoices for payment and other payables; preparing training and consultant material for scheduled training courses; preparing and monitoring the program registration websites, preparing reports. He provides clerical and administrative functions that support the training and technical assistance (T&TA) department. Shane also has more than 6 years’ experience managing federal government programs while working with Social Security Administration. He has developed extensive knowledge of tribal government and programs related to its working affairs. Shane graduated from Brigham Young University with degree in Political Science.
