Membership and Advocacy Program Assistant- Bishop Paiute Tribe
Valerie Butterbredt serves as the Membership and Advocacy Program Assistant with the National American Indian Housing Council. In this capacity, she manages the membership of 567 American Indian, Alaska Native, and Native Hawaiian communities that are working with HUD to provide their low-income residents with decent affordable housing, expand and improve housing infrastructure, provide opportunities for low-income residents to become self-sufficient, and develop thriving economies.
She facilitates collection and analysis of membership data including periodic membership needs assessment using newly implemented MemberClicks software. Valerie is responsible for high level membership customer service, data analysis, resource development, marketing, and membership communication through NAIHC social media, web management, and email newsletters.
Valerie Butterbredt, who is an enrolled member of the Bishop Paiute Tribe from Bishop, California, has experience in Native American law, policy and legislative affairs. Prior to the working at National American Indian Housing Council she has held internships on the Bishop Paiute Reservation at the Environmental Management Office, Community Development Department, Bishop Indian Education Center, and has worked as a tutor for California Teaching Fellows Foundation in Merced, California.
Ms. Butterbredt earned her Bachelors Degree in 2015 from the University of California, Merced.
