Description: This 2 day workshop equips Tribally Designated Housing Entities (TDHEs) and tribal staff with the skills to use their own workforce for cost-effective housing projects, including construction, maintenance, repairs, and methamphetamine remediation, while ensuring compliance with federal regulations (24 CFR Part 1000, 2 CFR Part 200). Through interactive virtual sessions, case studies, and participants learn to integrate Force Account into Indian Housing Plans, manage projects, and address tribal-specific challenges like remote locations, all while accessing ONAP’s technical assistance. This training empowers tribes to build capacity, create jobs, and deliver safe, affordable housing tailored to their unique community needs.

This training is offered free of charge to Tribal Housing professionals nationwide through a cooperative agreement between the National American Indian Housing Council (NAIHC) and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) Office of Native American Programs.
