Yolanda Baez-Almeida serves as accounting assistant with over 30 years of experience in accounting primarily in the legal sector. Yolanda has an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration and Marketing from Northern Virginia Community College. Yolanda is responsible for accounts payables and receivables, preparing check requisitions, maintaining all financial and contract and grant records, reconciling bank statements, managing office vendor relationships, assists with procurement processes, provides support for all accounting functions and provides administrative support to the Executive Director.
Prior to NAIHC, she spent over 7 years as a staff accountant with Roylance, Abrams, Berdo and Goodman where she was responsible for balancing and reconciling the general ledger, posting daily client payments and preparing bank deposits and handling monthly billing and outgoing correspondence with clients. Prior to this, she worked 7 years as collections coordinator at Foxhall Internist coordinating and maintaining monthly collections for 15 doctors, handling queries in reference to medical billing. She also worked as an assistant human resource manager at The Jefferson by Marriot and as the assistant chief of billing for Patton, Bloggs and Blow. She has extensive experience with QuickBooks, Excel, Pro-Law, Bill4Time and other accounting software.
