Description: This two-day virtual course covers basic administrative requirements that pertain to the use of Indian Housing Block Grant (IHBG) funds distributed to Tribes and TDHEs in accordance with the Native American Housing Assistance and Self-Determination Act (NAHASDA). Participants will learn to develop financial planning strategies for a tribal housing program, basics of developing an operational budget for a tribal housing program, and how to budget for various projects under NAHASDA. This training engages participants with skill building exercise and case studies that discuss the skills required to perform the responsibilities related to sound financial management and the methods for complying with 2 CFR Part 200.
