January 10, 2024 – Washington DC. The National American Indian Housing Council (NAIHC) announced today that Erla Sagg has been promoted to the position as Training & Technical Assistance (T&TA) Program Director. Ms. Sagg will replace LindaLee Retka, who is retiring from NAIHC in March. Erla currently serves as the T&TA Program Manager for NAIHC. Erla joined NAIHC in 2018 as an intern – and then became Membership Coordinator later that year. In 2021, she accepted a position in the T&TA department as a Program Coordinator, and later was elevated to the Program Manager position.
Erla earned both her BA and MA degrees from the University of New Mexico, and an Associate of Science degree from Utah State University. Interim Executive Director Joseph Diehl stated, “Erla is committed to continuing the high standards forged by LindaLee’s hard work and leadership over the past 15 years. We are grateful to LindaLee for her service. We now have assurance that the exemplary level of our training and technical assistance programs in Indian country will continue for many years to come.” NAIHC is the nation’s only nonprofit organization that is dedicated solely to improving housing conditions in Native American communities, advancing housing infrastructure development, and expanding economic and community development across Indian country.
