NAIHC’s Pathways Home Training: Empowering Native Homebuyer Education Instructors

NAIHC-Banner-Pathways Home Ownership Guide

The National American Indian Housing Council has been the lead agency for the Pathways Home: A Native Guide to Homeownership training since 2004. The Pathways curriculum was developed specifically for Native Communities. This comprehensive train-the-trainer course instructs Tribal housing and financial education professionals how to provide the course to prospective Native homebuyers in their local communities. Those who complete the course earn a national certification as Homebuyer Education Instructors.

In addition to the Pathways Home course, NAIHC offers Pathways “Plus,” (formally called Pathways Recertification), an advanced, intensive application of the Pathways Home Curriculum designed for Pathways trainers seeking recertification but open to everyone. This enhanced session builds on foundational pathways skills and introduces deeper, practice-focused engagement.

Refer to our Training Schedule for information about upcoming Pathways courses.

If you don’t see course information for Pathways, please email training@naihc.net to inquire, or consider making a request for Pathways training for your Tribe or TDHE. See our Training & Technical Assistance page for information on how to make a training request.
