Senate Committee of Indian Affairs
The Senate Committee on Indian Affairs is a committee of the United States Senate charged with oversight in matters related to the American Indian, Native Hawaiian, and Alaska Native peoples.
House Appropriations Committee & Subcommittee on Indian/Alaska Native Affairs
The Committee has jurisdiction to study the unique problems of American Indian, Native Hawaiian, and Alaska Native peoples and to propose legislation to alleviate these difficulties.
Census Bureau and Tribal Relations
U.S. Census Bureau
U.S. Census Bureau is conducting the 2022 Boundary & Annexation Survey (BAS).
The Tribal BAS allows the Census Bureau to correctly count your community’s residents and the federal government uses Census Bureau data to allocate more than $400 billion annually in federal funds for infrastructure, programs, and services.
You will not need to fill out the form:
If your tribe has no changes to report to the reservation or off-reservation trust land boundary that the Census Bureau has on file for them, please email [email protected] or [email protected].
You will need to submit the survey, if your tribe meets any of the above criteria, please have the tribe fill out the annual response form online.

Contact Office of Tribal Relations
The Office of Tribal Relations is the lead Agency that works with all USDA Mission Areas to stay advised and involved in the formal process of consultation with Tribal governments. The Office of Tribal Relations also works with the Office of Intergovernmental and External Affairs, the Office of General Counsel, the Senior Policy Team, and other key offices working across USDA. OTR also works with counterparts in other Federal agencies to achieve these goals.

HUD’s Office of Native American Programs (ONAP) administers housing and community development programs that benefit American Indian and Alaska Native tribal governments, tribal members, the Department of Hawaiian Home Lands, Native Hawaiians, and other Native American organizations.

Department of Interior Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA), Indian Self-Determination Services
The Division of Self-Determination Services within the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA), the Office of Indian Services (OIS) serves as the primary contact on policy affecting the unique contractual relationship between the Secretary of the Interior and Indian tribes or tribal entities.

Bureau of Indian Affairs

United States Interagency Council on Homelessness
The U.S. Interagency Council on Homelessness (USICH) is the only federal agency with a sole mission focused on preventing and ending homelessness in America. The council consists of 19 federal agencies that help create and catalyze implementation of the Federal Strategic Plan to Prevent and End Homelessness.

The Environmental Protection Agency is an independent executive agency of the United States federal government tasked with environmental protection matters.
Rural Utilities Service: High Energy Cost Grant Program (USDA)
The High Energy Cost Grant Program provides financial assistance for the improvement of energy generation, transmission, and distribution facilities serving rural communities with home energy costs that are over 275 percent of the national average.

DOE Office of Indian Energy Policy and Programs
The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Indian Energy Policy and Programs is authorized to fund and implement a variety of programmatic activities that assist American Indian Tribes and Alaska Native villages with energy development, capacity building, energy cost reduction, and electrification of Indian lands and homes.

Department of Health & Human Services (HRSA)
The Health Resources and Services Administration’s (HRSA) programs provide health care to people who are geographically isolated, economically, or medically vulnerable. This includes people living with HIV/AIDS, pregnant women, mothers, and their families, and those otherwise unable to access high quality health care.
