HUD Announces Two Major Funding Opportunities Totaling Over $220 Million

The National American Indian Housing Council (NAIHC) is pleased to share that the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD), Office of Public and Indian Housing, has officially announced two major funding opportunities critical to Tribal housing and community development efforts: the FY2025 Indian Housing Block Grant – Competitive (IHBG-COMP) and the FY2025 Indian Community Development Block Grant (ICDBG) program.

 Together, these opportunities represent more than $220 million in available funding to support essential housing infrastructure, economic development, and community revitalization efforts in Tribal communities nationwide.

 NAIHC Encourages Early Preparation

NAIHC urges all member Tribes and TDHEs to review the Notices of Funding Opportunity (NOFOs) carefully and begin preparing application materials well ahead of the submission deadlines. These programs are vital tools for addressing the unique housing and infrastructure needs across Indian Country.

 NAIHC remains committed to providing technical assistance and training opportunities to support members throughout the application process
