The National American Indian Housing Council is proud to launch its first eLearning course, Indian Housing Management, NAIHC’s original Leadership Institute course. In addition to popular and interactive live trainings, NAIHC is excited to expand the delivery of current training options to include the convenience of online learning.

Founded in 1999, the NAIHC Leadership Institute presents interactive, live training courses each year in exciting cities across the country. In addition to our eLearning products,

NAIHC will continue offering live trainings as an avenue for housing professionals to peer network and receive individualized assistance from our extensive network of consultants and subject matter experts.

Indian Housing Management consists of 11 lessons covering the spectrum of Indian Housing activities including applicable laws and regulations, planning and development, property management and more. Throughout the course, special emphasis is placed on the Native American Housing & Self-Determination Act of 1996 (NAHASDA) and its required compliance and regulations, all of which, will be made available to users online.

NAIHC’s eLearning products work in coordination with an LMS, or Learning Management System where participants develop an online profile to access eLearning registration, track Leadership Institute progress, download certificates, collaborate with other learners and much more.

What is a Learning Management System?

An LMS is a software application for the administration, documentation, tracking, reporting, and delivery of educational courses, training programs, or learning and development programs.

NAIHC’s Indian Housing Management eLearning course presents a survey of the Indian Housing Industry, its relevant laws, required compliance, management best practices and more. Designed especially for housing professionals everywhere, this course covers the foundational skills necessary for effective housing management.

This innovative course provides relevant and up to date information with a busy professional’s schedule in mind. Offered completely online, current and future eLearning products will be presented in a self-paced, digital format with narrated lessons, interactive activities, assessments to test skill, and upon successful completion, earn valuable credit towards a certification with NAIHC’s Leadership Institute.

All current and future eLearning courses will qualify for credit with NAIHC’s Leadership Institute where participants can become eligible for various track certifications leading up to the prestigious – Professional Indian Housing Manager (PIHM) certification.
