The Executive Director Training, offered by the National American Indian Housing Council (NAIHC) in partnership with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Office of Native American Programs (HUD ONAP), equips leaders of Tribally Designated Housing Entities (TDHEs) and tribal housing programs with essential skills for effective program management under the Native American Housing Assistance and Self-Determination Act (NAHASDA).

This two-day course explores the history of Indian housing, NAHASDA statutory and regulatory requirements, development of the Indian Housing Plan (IHP), preparation of the Annual Performance Report (APR), fiscal management, procurement standards, internal controls, and the critical roles and responsibilities of Executive Directors. Participants gain practical tools to ensure compliance, strengthen oversight, and enhance housing services for Native communities. Free training designed for both new and experienced directors.
