Description: This training provides an overview of HUD’s Office of Native American Programs (ONAP) housing policies, focusing on the Indian Housing Block Grant (IHBG) and related regulations. Participants will learn how to develop, implement, and monitor housing policies that comply with federal requirements while addressing community needs. Topics include policy drafting, resident engagement, fair housing compliance, and program reporting. Designed for tribal housing staff, leaders, and administrators, the session combines practical guidance with case studies to strengthen capacity and promote sustainable housing solutions in Native communities.
