Description: This training guides Tribally Designated Housing Entities (TDHEs), Tribal leaders, and housing staff in conducting effective annual self-monitoring under the Native American Housing Assistance and Self-Determination Act (NAHASDA). Participants learn to assess compliance with HUD’s Office of Native American Programs (ONAP) requirements, identify and address program risks, and implement corrective actions. The course covers planning, documentation, reporting, and best practices to ensure accountability, transparency, and program success. By strengthening internal oversight, the training supports sustainable housing programs and promotes responsible stewardship of federal funds.
